Once you’ve completed four sequences from King to Ace for each suit, you win the game! When you’ve sequenced cards of the same suit from King to Ace, it will be moved to the foundation pile. Each column then receives another card face-up at the bottom of it. If the player runs out of moves on the tableau they can draw another 10 cards from the stockpile. If there is an open column in the tableau, you can move any any individual card there, or a group of sequenced card if they are of the same suit in descending order. Otherwise, you can only move the card at the bottom of the column. ![]() For example, a 6, 5 and 4 or hearts in one column can be moved under a seven of hearts in another column. You can move a group of cards if they are of the same suit in descending order. When a card is moved leaving a facedown card, that card is then flipped over and can be sequenced. For example a 5 of club can be moved under a 6 of club or 6 of hearts. You can move the cards from the tableau under a card of any suit in descending order.

The contents have been beautifully remastered by Maria Triana, and the fully illustrated 20-page booklet is comprehensively annotated by Bill Kopp. This set is worth investigating not for the obvious singles - those can be had on any other comp - but for the ones that can't: "Let's Be Lovers Again" is a soulful duet with the great Valerie Carter that hit number 65, "Club Michelle" (number 66), "Heaven in the Back Seat" (number 58), and "Save a Little Room in Your Heart for Me" (number 102) are among them. (He had just joined Pure Prairie League.) Also included are a handful of fine non-single album tracks including "Trinidad" from 1980's Playing for Keeps, "Where's the Party" from the 1983 album of the same name (co-produced by Money and Tom Dowd), and "She Takes My Breath Away" from 1992's Unplug It In EP. One of the highlights is the live "Gimme Some Water" that features Vince Gill as a guest. This is the first time it has been commercially released on disc. In addition to hits and misses, the producers have added the Livin' It Up EP, originally issued as a promo-only 12" to promote Money's 1978 sophomore album, Life for the Taking. Every one of the singles included charted either in the States, Europe, and/or Australia. There are 24 charting singles here, all but one made the Top 100, and 11 of them landed in the Top 40. Money wrote or co-wrote 15 of these cuts - two of the three aforementioned singles, as well as "Shakin'," "Think I'm in Love," and "Gimme Some Water," to name a few in this set. It's a fair question, especially since classic rock radio has distilled a truly impressive run of charting singles and albums from the pre- to post-MTV era down to "Two Tickets to Paradise," "Baby Hold on to Me," and "Take Me Home Tonight/Be My Baby." On The Complete Hits and More!, Real Gone compiles 35 tracks from Money's Columbia period onto two discs that offer a fully rounded portrait of the artist, and offers proof of his considerable achievement as a pop singer and - perhaps more importantly - as a hit songwriter. ![]() So what's so special about yet another Eddie Money compilation? There are already more than 20. ![]() These are called normal modes or eigenmodes. ![]() It is always possible to describe the motion of the string as a superposition of simple modes which have the peculiar property that all parts of the string move sinusoidally with the same frequency and phase. The exact way how a guitar's string vibrates depends on the spot where it has been plucked. Some simple examples will be used to demonstrate general properties of oscillating systems, standing waves in particular. For us it is important to realize that the electron forms some kind of standing wave. This is described in detail in all textbooks on quantum mechanics. Its possible wavefunctions can be obtained as solutions of the Schrödinger equation. Its nucleus carries one unit of positive elementary charge and thus binds only one electron to it. The hydrogen atom is the simplest of all atoms. Wavefunctions are used to calculate observable quantities in particular, the probability to find the (pointlike) particle in some volume is given by the squared value of the wavefunction integrated over the volume. Thus the electrons bound by electric force to an atomic nucleus (which contains almost all of the atom's mass) must be considered to be waves. The fact that these apparently contradictory attributes are compatible in matter waves and also in light (photons) is hard to understand, but all experimental data point out that this is the case. Waves always have some spatial extension, while one may imagine the elementary, indivisible particles as being “pointlike”. While we cannot dive into mathematical details here, the basic principles shall be sketched. Quantum theory is, so to say, the mathematical formulation of particle–wave duality. Only with quantum theory atomic structure can be understood. Nevertheless, to understand how the colours which surround us come about, one needs some basic knowledge on the smallest parts of matter. If the light of the sun is spread out into different colours by a simple glass prism, the narrow absorption lines cannot be seen. Neon, which gives red colour in a gas discharge, is a colourless gas. The aurora borealis (northern light) is very rare at our latitudes, and to appreciate the colours of cosmic objects, powerful telescopes are necessary. Neon signs (or other gas discharge tubes) as used for advertising, sodium or mercury vapour lamps show atomic emission the colours of fireworks are due to it. Light emitted or absorbed by single atoms contributes only very little to the colours of our surroundings. The same file with adapted formatting can be found here. Herein, we summarize the information in the self-reported database to provide additional information not available through the NRMP publications.Īpplicants reported whether they participated in an additional research year(s) (RY) or were graduating with a PhD. However, the data collected and released by the NRMP remains limited for example, research activity combines the number of publications and presentations, and does not separately identify first author publications and data on elective rotations is not reported.įor the past three residency application seasons (2014–2017), senior medical students aspiring to match into a radiation oncology program have been inputting their own statistics and characteristics into an open-access database publicized in Student Doctor Network (SDN), an online forum focused for medical students. The National Resident Match Program (NRMP) publishes ‘Charting Outcomes in the Match’ which summarizes data from residency and match applications. The number of applicants has been steadily rising in the past decade. Radiation oncology is a competitive specialty in which approximately 200 medical students per year apply to residency programs. In summary, this study identifies important considerations for radiation oncology applicants that have not been previously reported, such as induction into AOA and number of journal publications. On multivariate analysis, alpha-omega-alpha (AOA) honors society status (p=0.033), participating in a research year (p=0.001) and number of journal publications (p=0.047) significantly correlated with higher interview invitation rates. The majority of applicants took three radiation oncology electives (48.7%). 21.7% participated in additional research year(s), and 19% obtained a PhD. ![]() The mean step 1 score was 248 (range: 198 to 272) and most were in the highest grade point average quartile (68.3%). Applicants applied to a median of 61 programs and received a median of 14 interviews. When possible, results were compared to those reported in the National Residency Match Program’s “Charting Outcomes” report. A total of 158 applicants were examined for the applicant characteristics. Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis, and chi-square tests were used for statistical analysis. Board scores, research characteristics, Sub-I participation, and interview invitation rates were available. A retrospective analysis of “RadOnc Interview Spreadsheet” for the 2015, 2016, and 2017 radiation oncology match was performed. ![]() We analyzed factors associated with a successful match using this dataset to test the hypothesis that research productivity and high academic performance correlates with success rates. A significant proportion of applicants record their experiences in an anonymous, self-reported applicant spreadsheet. However, many variables are not reported in Charting Outcomes that may influence an applicant’s ability to match. The Charting Outcomes resource is useful in gauging an applicant’s competiveness for a given specialty. Pocket Style Fender Flares from Bushwacker. They are widely used to secure furniture parts in tables and chairs. They are often used to fix wood and metal structures together as these bolts are usually flat on one end and pointed on the other, with the part designed with closer threads meant to go into metal. No cutting or drilling is Required to install. Hanger bolts have threads on both ends, and such a double-ended design makes such bolts suitable for use in furniture buildings. You can always hide the blousing with a sportcoat, but it’s not quite that cold in LA to layer too much plus I like the more “casual” look of simply wearing a sweater with denim or chinos. Some guys try to cheat the system and shrink them in the wash, but then it could potentially be an expensive mistake. And having a good fit is probably one of the only ways to make sure you pull off the sweater vest. It’s especially tough when rocking sweater vests (both the pull over and waistcoat style), since the long length can’t be hidden with any sort of tucking. Though it may be my fault for preferring an extremely high rise, I’m sure that some of you can understand this frustration with your own wardrobe. ![]() The effect is made obvious as I’m not particularly tall or lanky, which means even a standard small can be a bit long and puffy on me. To make up for the length I either just tuck the excess fabric into itself or do some awkward blousing which almost always results in a slight muffin top effect. ![]() Crew or when even when looking at contemporary, higher quality ones on eBay. I run across this problem whether I’m buying good basics at Uniqlo/J. Now I like to wear sweaters, but it’s definitely a problem with high rise trousers since manufacturers haven’t quite caught up. As rises got lower, sweater hems got longer to compensate sweaters also lost that fitted look. This has since disappeared the closer we got to the modern times. Overall, it’s also probably done to echo the tailored look of a waistcoat (which also tends to be on the long side today). It’s just a personal observation, but I think that sweaters were made this way not just to wear under a sportcoat, but to play into the masculine ideal of the time: broad shoulders, small waist, and long, wide legs. This silhouette was further emphasized with the wide ribbing, which ensured that the sweater would “cinch” at waist well. Also unlike today, the sweaters were cut with higher armholes and a trimmer body in order to make a very fitted silhouette. This was mainly done in the 1930s-1940s, as you can see in the included images. While long sweaters did exist in the 1920s (probably since they were intended as the final, outer layer), there actually was a time when sweaters were hemmed to hit at the natural waist, instead of close to the hips as is done now. But as I do that, I’m reminded of the fact that while high rise has come bac k in recent years, the length of the sweater has not changed. As it dips into the low 70s here in Los Angeles, I’m proud to say that sweater weather is finally arriving! I’m ready to pull out my fair isle sweater vests and cotton-wool crew necks out of the bottom drawer of my dresser and start wearing them with tailoring. ![]() Manually get the last two lines of the reflog: tail -n 2.
